Its Leap Season: Take The Faith Jump!

Its Leap Season: Take The Faith Jump!

This post is a excerpt of a sermon I preached on March, 24, 2019.

Focused Scriptures!

Romans 10:17 ” So faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Mark 11:22-24 “And Jesus answering saith unto them, have faith in God. For verily I say unto you. That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thy cast into the sea; and shall not doubt i his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass. He shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, When ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

Its Leap Season!

When you think of the phrase “leap season” I know most of you are thinking of leap year right? We should all know that a leap year is when February has an extra day. What makes is so special is that it only comes around every four years. So this leap season is special because it doesn’t come around often, but when it does you need to take advantage of it.

Got Faith?

In the bible lets us know in Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Meaning that having faith is knowing that something is going to happen without seeing it in the physical eye.

The bible has so many examples of faith heroes that we she be taking note from. Abraham’s and Sarah’s faith conditioned them, an old couple well beyond childbearing years to give birth Issac. Who in fact was their child of promise. Ruth’s faith in God placed her in the lineage of Jesus. Rahab’s faith allowed her to trust the men of God when she hid them in her home, and in turn kept her family from perishing. Even Jesus the Messiah had faith in God which enabled Jesus to triumph over the devil.

The same faith they had in the bible days is still present now. In the later clause of Romans 12:3 it says, that faith is present in each believer, for God has given each believer their measure of faith. The problem is your faith isn’t activated!!! Sis its time to activate your faith, no matter what your circumstance may be.

Are You Ready To Take The Faith Jump?

These biblical examples activated their faith inspire of their flaws. Some theologians go back and forth about this, but Abraham lied, Sarah manipulated, and Ruth came from a pagan nation. Jesus didn’t have any flaws, but he set side his deity to live as a man, empowered by the holy spirit. The same holy spirit present in each believer today.

One thing that I want to point out that all of these examples had in common es hat they took the faith jump. They jumped in with both feet holding on to the promises of God! Knowing that their faith would be the connector to God’s promises ad their own aspirations. Its leap season sis and just like leap year, it doesn’t come around all the time. So now is the time to take the faith jump!

Lets Do It!

It’s time to move out of your comfort zones. its time to get up from where you have settles. Its time to get out of your familiar or ordinary place and take the faith jump. Will it be comfortable leading up to the jump? No! But once you do jump. God will meet you right where you are and cause you to soar like never before. Yes you maybe scared and fearful of this jump. But just think about it, the goals you have set for yourself should scare you enough to the point that it leads you take the faith jump.

Sis! My question for you is; “Will you cease this moment and take advantage of this opportunity and take the faith jump during this leap season?” The choice is yours!

Blessings,

Tamron
